The Guardian newspaper recently had an interview with Virgin Group founder Richard Branson about starting a business, how to improve sales and tips for motivating. Over the next few weeks we’ll be taking a look at different aspects of the interview and how you could apply them to your business. Today, here are some top sales tips.
  • As a business you need to ensure that you know what your customers want. Your customers are key to the success of your business so you need to make sure that you are completely focussed on delivering a really high standard for your product or services.
  • Keep listening to your customer base and be ready to react fast when things go off course.
  • Hire a workforce that believes in what they are selling and would actually buy the product/service themselves.
  • Be adaptable. If your business grows quicker than expected, consider a virtual assistant to help you out.
  • Utilising the knowledge and passion of your employees can help to sell your business.
  • Don't be scared of taking risks.
  • Always brainstorm and think of new ideas and encourage your team to do so as well.
