- As you answer the phone – smile! Having a smile on your face will translate to your voice sound you will sound friendlier.
- Make sure to answer clearly and stat who both you and the company are.
- Try and make sure to have responses that are natural and flow as a conversation so limit the scripted responses that you give.
- Have a pen and paper to hand to note any important information from the call.
- Focus completely on the phone call and don’t multitask whilst on the phone.
- If for whatever reason you have to place someone on hold, make sure to check in for every minute to reassure them they are being dealt with and not forgotten about.
